- 2 1/2 cup bread flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 teaspoon dry yeast
- 1 cup water
How to make Baguette
Step 1 Knead the dough and let it rise for 30 minutes
To prepare this easy recipe, mix yeast, water, bread flour, sugar and salt and knead a soft dough. You can also use a dough mixing machine, if you have one. Grease a bowl or a flat dish with oil or butter on all sides. Make sure that the dish has a holding capacity of more than the total dough available. Put the dough in, cover the dish and let it rise for 30 minutes. The dough should get doubled after yeast is activated. If a dent remains on the dough surface after you touch it, it is ready for the next step.
Step 2 Knead the dough once again and let it rise for 30 minutes
