Banana Kofta Curry is a lip-smacking main dish that is perfect for a filling lunch. You can enjoy this yummy curry with both chapati and rice. Banana Kofta Curry is usually made with raw bananas, which are first boiled and then mashed. In case you can’t find raw bananas, you can use the ripe bananas as well. You just need a handful of ingredients to prepare this delicious lunch recipe. First, mashed bananas and potatoes are mixed with a melange of spices to prepare a kofta mixture. This mixture is then made into balls, which are then deep-fried to make crispy kofta balls. Lastly, curry is prepared using onion and tomato paste. How to make Banana Kofta Curry

Step 1 Mix the ingredients

Mix all the ingredients- mashed bananas, potatoes, salt, cumin powder, garam masala powder, dry mango powder, asafoetida, chilies, and coriander leaves in a bowl.WhatsApp Image 2021-04-29 at 6.34.29 PM.

Step 2 Make koftas

Step 3 Fry the koftas

Now add some ghee to a kadhai for deep-frying. Fry all the koftas until golden brown.WhatsApp Image 2021-04-29 at 6.34.30 PM.

Step 4 Keep the koftas aside

Step 5 Saute the onions

To prepare the curry, keep a kadhai on medium flame and add 1 tbsp ghee to it. Now add the onion paste and cook till oil separates from it.WhatsApp Image 2021-04-29 at 6.34.31 PM.

Step 6 Curry preparation

Add tomato puree to it and cook again till oil separates. Also, add garam masala and salt to taste, and cook for a minute. Add water as per desired consistency and bring the curry to a boil. The curry is now ready.WhatsApp Image 2021-04-29 at 6.34.31 PM (1).

Step 7 Ready to be served

Tips
  1. You can add besan instead of potatoes to bind the koftas.
