How to make Beer-Batter Fish

    • Step 1 Prepare the batter for the fillets

To start making this amazing recipe, take a shallow bowl and mix cornstarch, baking powder, salt, Cajun and creole seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper and half a cup of flour. Then add milk and wheat beer. Whisk until the batter is completely incorporated and smooth.

    • Step 2 Apply flour and dip the fillets in the batter

Preheat the refined oil in a skillet to 375 degrees Celsius. In the meanwhile, pick the fish fillets and coat it with some remaining flour then dip it in the so formed batter (Step 1).

    • Step 3 Coat the fillets with crackers and fry

Next, roll the fillets into the crushed crackers and carefully drop them into the hot oil to fry. Fry the fishes in different batches for 2 to 3 minutes or until they turn golden brown in colour. Transfer the fried fish fillets to an oil absorbing towel to absorb the excess oil. You are now ready to serve this dish hot and fresh.
