Prepared in just 30 minutes, you can make this dish for parties, get-togethers, family buffets and even make it as a snack to accompany your evening tea. A simple filling of chicken, celery, prunes, and cheese is used in this recipe. For the filling purpose, we have used Chicken Seekh Kebabs here, however, you can use any type of leftover chicken or readymade smoked chicken, etc. To give the spring roll the perfect cheese pull, mozzarella cheese is used, however, if you don’t have it, you can use cheese cubes and even cheese slices. If you prefer having more variety of flavors in the dish, you can customize the recipe as per your taste by adding some black pepper powder, peri-peri powder, oregano, mixed herbs, etc to the filling mixture. Be it kids or adults, everyone will love it for sure. Do try this recipe, rate it, and let us know how it turned out to be by leaving a comment in the section below. Happy Cooking!
Ingredients of Chicken Celery Mingle
- 240 gm chicken seekh kebab
- 80 gm mozzarella
- 50 gm all purpose flour
- salt as required
- 50 gm celery
- 40 gm prunes
- 20 spring roll sheets
- 1 cup refined oil
How to make Chicken Celery Mingle
-
Step 1 Chop the required ingredients
Take the chicken kebab and chop it finely. Do the same with prunes and celery. (You can use tandoori or smoked chicken as well).
-
Step 2 Make the filling
Now grate the mozzarella cheese. You can chop it into small bits as well instead of grating. Mix the grated/chopped cheese with the chopped chicken, celery, and prunes. Mix well to make a filling mixture. Adjust the salt as per taste.
-
Step 3 Make a flowy batter
Take flour in a bowl. Add salt as per taste along with approximately 100 ml of water. Mix well to make a batter of coating consistency.
-
Step 4 Make spring rolls
Take a spring roll sheet and spread some chicken cheese mix on it. Roll the sheet into a cylinder, by sealing the ends with the prepared batter. Make more such rolls with the leftover filling and sheets.
-
Step 5 Ready to be fried
Heat oil in a frying pan. Deep fry the spring rolls until golden in color.
-
Step 6 Serve hot
Your Chicken Celery Mingle is now ready to be served. Serve them hot with garlic mayonnaise or tomato sauce. Enjoy!
Tips
- You can add some black pepper powder and mixed herbs to the filling mixture for extra flavor.
