Mooli Paratha Recipe
Come winters and the one thing that you can find being cooked in a Punjabi household is a Mooli Paratha. Delicious and mouth-watering, you can enjoy this paratha recipe with curd, pickle or even ghee in breakfast and lunches. Try this easy recipe for get-togethers!
Ingredients of Mooli Paratha
- 250 gm grated,peeled radish
- 200 ml water
For Dough
- 500 gm wheat flour
- 1/3 teaspoon powdered black pepper
- 3 chopped green chilli
- 1/3 teaspoon powdered turmeric
- 50 ml ghee
- 100 gm gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 teaspoon thymol seeds
- 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How to make Mooli Paratha
Step 1
In a large bowl, add wheat flour along with all the ingredients excepting water and ghee, and nicely mix them all.
Step 2
After mixing all the ingredients, add water and knead it into soft and smooth dough.
Step 3
Take a small portion of dough and roll it into ball, dust it with little dry flour.
Step 4
Roll it into round, triangular or rectangular shape. Repeat the process for making paratha from remaining dough.
Step 5
Now heat a tawa on medium flame, once the tawa is heated, place the rolled paratha on it.
Step 6
Cook the paratha on medium flame for about 4 to 5 seconds, flip it to cook other side.
Step 7
Apply little ghee on both sides of paratha. Flip it in between to cook the paratha evenly from both sides.
Step 8
Take it out on a kitchen towel and repeat the process for remaining paratha.
Step 9
Mooli paratha is ready to serve, enjoy it with raita and pickle.
