Mutton Spring Rolls Recipe

Prepared by stuffing keema cooked with a melange of spices, this Mutton Spring Roll recipe is quite easy to make at home. You require some pre-made spring roll sheets that are easily available in the market. The prepared stuffing is first filled inside these sheets and then these pockets are deep-fried to give them their signature texture and crispiness. Ingredients of Mutton Spring Rolls
- 250 gm minced mutton
- 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon meat masala
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon chaat masala powder
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon fennel seeds powder
- 10 spring roll sheets
- salt as required
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
How to make Mutton Spring Rolls

Step 1 Prepare the masala
In a pan, heat 1 tbsp oil and add garlic, ginger and onions. Saute till the onions turn translucent in colour. Then add all the powdered spices and mix them well. Cook for a minute or so.

Step 2 Add meat to the masala
Now, add minced meat and 1/4 cup of water to the masala along with a pinch of salt. Cover with a lid and cook the meat for 8-10 mins. Make sure the meat filling is dry now. Once done, add coriander leaves. Mix everything well.

Step 3 Stuff the filling
Place the sheets in a diamond shape. Add the filling on one side and then fold the sheet-like an envelope from the rest three sides. Seal the spring sheet by applying flour slurry or some oil on the open end.

Step 4 Fry the spring rolls
Fry the spring rolls in hot oil until they turn golden brown in colour. Transfer them to an absorbent paper to drain off the excess oil.

Step 5 Ready to be served
Your Mutton Spring Rolls are ready. Serve them alongside green chutney or schezwan dip.
Tips
- You can also add grated cabbage, carrot etc for added taste.
- You can also shallow fry or air fry the spring rolls to make them healthier.
