Ingredients of Narkel Chingri
- 6 pieces prawns
- 5 tablespoon mustard oil
- 1/2 tablespoon black mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 8 green chilli
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 2 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- salt as required
How to make Narkel Chingri

Step 1 Marinate the prawns
To prepare this delectable dish, marinate the deveined prawns with salt and turmeric. Keep aside.

Step 2 Mix the spices with prawns
Meanwhile, soak the black and yellow mustard seeds in water for 15 minutes. Remove and grind with green chillies to make a paste. Now, take a bowl and add the paste in it. Also add coconut paste, turmeric powder, mustard oil, salt and sugar. To this mixture add prawns with green chillies, and mix very well. Ensure that prawns are coated well with the masala.

Step 3 Fry the prawns with the masala for 10 minutes

Step 4 Garnish and serve
Turn off the stove. Add little coconut and mustard oil once again and stir well for 5 minutes. Garnish and serve hot.
