Thai Spiced Tofu Recipe
These days tofu has become an essential part of diet for all the health conscious vegetarians as well as non vegetarians who are switching over to tofu because of it’s health benefits. Tofu can be cooked in various ways and one of the most famous tofu dish is ‘Thai Spiced Tofu‘. The delicious dish can be served as a side dish, starter, appetizer and tastes best when hot. The dish can be made with tofu, thai red curry, vegetable broth, fish sauce, peanut oil, sugar, green beans. Try this thai recipe during pot luck, buffet, and kitty party.
Ingredients of Thai Spiced Tofu
- 120 gm tofu
- 1/4 cup vegetable broth
- 1 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
For Garnishing
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1 1/2 tablespoon Thai red curry paste
- 1/4 pounds green beans
- 1/2 tablespoon peanut oil
How to make Thai Spiced Tofu
Step 1
To start with, drain out the excess water from the tofu and cut them into cubes. Keep them aside. In a bowl, add curry paste, sugar, and fish sauce. Mix well.
Step 2
Reserve half of this sauce in a plastic bag and in half of it, add tofu, cover. Let it stand for 10 minutes. In a saucepan, kept on medium flame, add green beans, broth, oil, and the remaining curry. Mix well.
Step 3
Simmer for approx 6-7 minutes in order to make the beans soft. Take a nonstick deep bottomed pan and cover it with cooking spray.
Step 4
Place the pan on medium flame and add he tofu mixture to it. Let it cook for 5 minutes. Remove from flame and serve hot by garnishing with sesame seeds.
